St Kateri Tekakwitha Rosary

St Kateri Tekakwitha Rosary at Laude Arts and Gifts
Saint Kateri Tekakwitha is the first Native American to be beatified. She was born in 1656. As young girl, she contracted small pox and her face was terribly disfigured by the disease. She converted to Catholicism as a young woman and because of this she was shunned by her tribe. She suffered greatly because of her faith. She was devoted to the Eucharist and cared for the sick and elderly. Like St. Therese, she died at the tender age of 24. After she died, the terrible scars from the small pox disappeared leaving her skin smooth and unmarred. She was beatified by Pope John Paul II in 1980 and she will be canonized by Pope Benedict XVI on Oct 21, 2012. She is the patron of the environment and ecology.

This rosary honoring St Kateri Tekakwitha features a handsome combination of picasso jasper and white howlite. The 8mm picasso jasper beads comprise the AvĂ© beads.   Each of these beads is different from all the others ranging in color from red, to yellow, green and even a grayish blue. Accenting these beads are the 8mm by 14mm howlite Pater beads. The crucifix is silver colored metal and is stamped "ITALY" on the back. The center honors St. Kateri and is stamped Kateri Tekakwitha on the back. This is a new center, but it has a vintage look to it. I just love the way it feels in my hands. This is a substantial rosary which has a nice weight to it. This rosary would make a wonderful gift or would be great to keep for yourself.   This is an unbreakable rosary.   Please click here to learn more about this rosary

ABOUT UNBREAKABLE ROSARIES: This rosary was constructed in such a manner as to make it unbreakable with normal wear and tear. The tarnish resistant, silver plated wire is coiled 2 1/2 times at either end of each bead. Furthermore, the interlocking loops prevent the type of breakage you find with most rosaries. It is the last rosary you will ever need to buy. You may want to buy another rosary...hopefully from me...but you won't ever need to buy another rosary. In fact, you will be able to hand it down to your children and they in turn will be able to hand it down to their children.
